This practice values our relationship with our patients and would like to ensure complete transparency on the patient’s treatment and possible medical healthcare costs associated with this practice to ensure the best possible outcome for our health and well-being.
Your healthcare is important to us and there are some important details to note:
If your emergency is related to any procedure or condition for which I am treating or responsible, please call the rooms to contact me.
Should it be after hours please go directly to the Hospital casualty department.
For any LIFE THREATENING emergencies go directly to your nearest casualty.
We hereby inform our patients, insurance companies & colleagues that the billing policy of this practice does not necessarily follow the different rates at which the various medical insurance companies reimburse at, or with that of colleagues or any price reference lists.
Please ensure you read and understand the billing policy.
This practice will only provide sick certificates should the specific condition so warrant. If a diagnosis is provided on the sick certificate, the certificate will only be handed to you unless otherwise requested by you in writing. It remains your discretion to disclose your condition or diagnosis to your employer.
Will be issued if your diagnoses so warrants and for the duration of your treatment. Unfortunately, we are not able to prescribe medications not related to condition for which we are treating you.
It is well known that medications do have side effects, if you do experience any side effects, please contact us immediately.
You may be required to attend rehabilitation or certain services after your procedure. This may include wound care, physiotherapy, hand therapy, bio-kinetics, orthodontists or dietitians.
We can provide you with details of the above however it remains your choice as to which service provider you choose.
Please also check with your medical aid regarding cover for these services. Should your doctor refer you to any of the above it is regarding as an essential component of your treatment.
Do not take any videos or photos during procedures or consultations as this is not allowed.
Do not leave problems for too long if you are concerned call us.
Do ask if you any questions about your treatment or related.
Do disclose any health conditions to your doctor.
DO contact us if you are unhappy or unsure about anything such that we can resolve the issue asap. We strive to create a healthy long-lasting relationship with our patients and to provide best possible treatment while you are under our care.
We strive to respond to all queries as soon as possible and are available telephonically or via email, however for clinical or health related questions we prefer you to call the rooms or to come in via appointment.
